Silky Skin: Venus Embrace Razor

Being a woman, I know that hairy legs don't go over well this time of year. I have extremely sensitive skin, and I have the hardest time finding razors that don't leave me feeling like a leper.

I found the Venus Embrace Razor on sale at my local CVS, and decided to give it a shot. I absolutely love it. The conditioning strips help to reduce razor burn, and the 5 blades leave my skin feeling extremely smooth. The Embrace seems to glide over my skin, and because of the conditioning strips, its not necessary to use shaving cream when doing touch-ups.

The Venus Embrace is a refillable razor, meaning you get the handle and when the blades are no longer any good, you can pick up more heads. But, recently Gilette has come out with disposable Embrace razors. They are cheaper, and just as effective, although they do not last as long.

The Venus Embrace is not only for legs and underarms, it is rated the "Best Bikini Razor" from the entire Gilette-Venus line. Although, it has a larger head for all 5 blades to fit so it can be difficult to reach every angle when shaving the bikini line.

Although the razor does it's job well, a lot of users think that it runs a little pricey. The razor starter kit which comes with the handle and two refill cartridges starts around $9, and a refill box of 4 heads hits around $13 a pop. It is advised to change the cartridge about every week and a half to two weeks.
